Canadian Pacific and Norfolk Southern are still evaluating Reading and Northern's Lehigh line after another derailment in the Pittston area, the third since January 1, 2004.
NS 40T and 41T and CP 167, 166 and 410 will continue running to Harrisburg and then to Allentown.
The CP train we got late this afternoon @ 1723 hours, was the CP 410. After setting out Allentown freight and PBNE freight, the 410 became WLV-23 before heading east to Oak Island. This train is not the CP 166. Today's CP 166 was marked for 1445 hours in Binghamton enroute to Harrisburg. Harrisburg crew will handle the 166 to Oak Island sometime during the early morning hours.
As long as they detour the R&N, the 410 will become a WLV when heading for Jersey.
The sun was nasty and I had a washout, not getting exactly what I was looking for but the "going away" shot was better.
